A recently release Shibari tutorial on YouTube has taken to quoting, word for word, information from a well-known BDSM parody site, quoting the information as fact and history.
“We’ve been waiting for this to happen for ages,” said Lazlo Toth, editor of the website. “This is Onion level irony.”
The video, which quotes an absurd history of bondage terminology, has been seen by more than 200,000 people.
“We’re just waiting for things to start showing up in workshops and seminars,” Toth added. “It really is our life’s work to make fun of human foibles as they show up in the BDSM world, so this is really exciting.”
When asked how he was going to handle it, Toth indicated that he thought it would be a great subject for an article on The Daily Flogger.
“We are all about self-reflective meta-humor,” he said.
