Rubin Carbet, 42, found himself confused and alarmed by the results of a recent online survey. The results described the dominant man as being into bondage, humiliation, and degradation, but gave him a score of “96% Dominant” which he found upsetting.
“I want to know where that 4% went. I took the test 3 more times trying to get 100% and every time I got a score of 96%. Now I am not sure who I am or whether or not I belong.”
Tests and quizzes like these have been cropping up on social media and dating sites for the past few years and are often posted as part of profiles on fetish web sites.
“I’m not putting that up. It says I am not a real dominant and that is bullshit. There are guys out there that won’t respect anyone who isn’t 100%. I’d rather just say I never took the test.”
For Kristen McGee, a 42 year old Dominatrix, she was more upset about her vanilla score which came in at 12%. “How the fuck am I vanilla,” she asked, “I don’t do vanilla even in milkshakes and ice cream. Something wrong with that test.”
Others remain philosophical. Master Martin Helk, 56, says “it is only 8 questions, how much can it really measure? Then again, I got 100% Dominant, so maybe it is pretty accurate.”
